We sell baskets (2 quart up to a bushel) which you can fill with any items to make a gift basket.  We also sell gift boxes for the jams, jellies and extras.  Gourds, pumpkins, candy and caramel apples, cookies, 8 ounce cider jugs, donuts, etc. make great party favors.

We grow many of the apples we sell but do not have enough apples to meet our demand so we also sell apples from other local growers.  Listed below are a few of our most popular apple varieties and when their season generally begins. 

Mid September Apples Mid to Late October Apples

McINTOSH: Mildly tart, soft, aromatic, delicious for snacking, but also good for salads, sauce and some cooking.

CORTLAND: Mildly tart, white flesh, excellent for eating, baking, salads and sauce. 

EMPIRE: Slightly tart, cross between McIntosh and Red Delicious, firmer and longer shelf life than McIntosh.  Juicy, eating or baking.

McCOUN: Mildly tart, excellent dessert apple, very short season.

MATSU (Crispin): Slightly tart, Golden Delicious type apple, excellent dessert or cooking, very large.

IDA RED: Tart at harvest time, mellows in storage.  Flesh is white, firm and crisp.  Can be used for eating, but excellent for baking.  Keeps well in winter.

STAYMAN WinSap: Tart. Crisp. Eating. Baking. Keeps Well.

ROME - bland, dry.  Beautiful red color and large size.  Mostly for cooking.

NORTHERN SPY: Tart, very fine old time variety.  Used for cooking, although a good eating apple.

Early October Apples  

RED DELICIOUS: Very mild and sweet, best for snacking.

GOLDEN DELICIOUS: Mild, sweet, juicy.  Excellent for snacking, salads or baking.


We strive to keep our prices low and we accept PA Farmers Nutritional Program checks for fruits and edible produce.  Listed below are the prices for most varieties of apples and pears.  We do have discount second pick apples.  Gala and McCoun have slightly higher prices.(*NOTE: prices are subject to change)

2 Quarts:  Approximately 3 pounds.  Makes 3 to 4 cups applesauce or 1 - 9" deep dish apple pie.

1/2 Peck:  Approximately 5-6 pounds or 18-20 apples.  Makes 2 quarts applesauce or 2-3  9" deep dish apple pie.

Peck:  Approximately 10 to 12 pounds.  Makes 3 to 4 quarts applesauce or 5 to 6  9" deep dish apple pie.

1/2 Bushel:  Approximately 20 to 22 pounds.  Makes 7 to 8 quarts applesauce, or 10 to 12 9" deep dish apple pie, or 10 quarts juice.

Stop in to watch the art of making cider and have a free sample. 

We usually press Saturday and Sunday until 1:00 p.m. and during the week as needed.  It is best to call ahead to verify days and times. 

We currently do not pasteurize our cider.  We meet or exceed federal and state regulatory standards.  We are under state inspection, but our customers are our best inspectors.  We have taken HACCP training courses at PennState to learn where and what to look for against the E-Coli virus.  We do not use drop apples.  All our apples are inspected for decay and brush washed.  Our equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use, and the cider is refrigerated immediately after being pressed.  No one drinks more of our cider than our family.  We want to make and sell only safe, high quality cider to ensure you, our valued customers, don't get sick. 

Our cider may be frozen so you can enjoy excellent taste long after the apple season.  Simply pour an inch into a glass to enjoy now (allowing for expansion) then put it in the freezer to enjoy at a later time.      

Pear Cider:  Because our pear cider is made from fresh Bartlett Pears we only make it the first week we are open (the first Saturday after Labor Day).  So if it's pear cider you're looking for you had better hurry in.  When it's gone, there won't be any until next year. 

Available by the Gallon or 1/2 Gallon

Apple Cider:  Always fresh.  Always delicious.  We blend the perfect variety of apples to produce just the right taste.  Our cider is 100% pure juice from fresh, clean apples with no sugar or preservatives added, therefore it must be refrigerated.

Available by the Gallon, 1/2 Gallon, Quart, Pint and 8 Ounce.

Apple-Cranberry Cider:  We use our fresh, delicious apple cider and add just the right amount of cranberry concentrate to achieve the perfect flavor.  This variety of cider is available from the beginning of October through Thanksgiving week.

Pies:  We use only the freshest fruit with our own homemade crust, which is made with all vegetable shortening.  All natural with no preservatives, just like Grandma used to make.  Apple.  Apple Crumb.  Apple Cranberry Crumb.  Cherry.  Peach.  Strawberry-Rhubarb.  Pumpkin.  Blueberry.  Special for Thanksgiving, Mincemeat and no-sugar Pumpkin.  We will be happy to make no sugar apple, no sugar blueberry, and other crumb varieties for special orders.  Also, we ask that Thanksgiving and Christmas pies are ordered in advance. 

Donuts:  We use a secret recipe for our Apple Cider Donuts and our Pumpkin Donuts.  They're great and you can watch them being made.  We use an automatic donut machine to fry the batter in pure vegetable shortening.  Like your donuts hot, you can always microwave them for about 8 seconds.  

Caramel or Red Candy Apples:  Made right here with our own apples, usually Empire.  They are a great snacking treat, fund raiser and/or party favor. 

Peanut Butter:  Fresh Ground! Flavors to choose from: Honey Roasted, Natural, Chocolate, and Almond. 

Jams, Jellies & Extras:  Made especially for us with only the finest fruits.  With or without sugar.  Choose from a large variety of Spreads with no sugar added, Butterswith their smooth rich consistency, Jams, Jellies and Preserves.  Don't forget the Salad Dressings - Creamy Vidalia Onion, Vidalia Onion & Summer Tomato with no fat, or Vidalia Onion & Peppercorn.   

Honey:  The bees make it and a local bee-keeper packs it.  Honey is all natural and we carry four flavors - Clover, Golden Rod, Orange Blossom, and Buckwheat.  Clover is similar in flavor to what you find in stores and the darker the honey the stronger it is.  We also carry hand rolled beeswax candles - they don't drip.  Did you know eating a tablespoon of honey that was harvested close to your home can help fight allergies?  For a sore throat try putting honey in tea. 

Maple Syrup:  Made right here in Pennsylvania by a neighbor.  Pure maple syrup is pure heaven.  Try it on pancakes, waffles, French toast, chicken strips, donuts. . . The list is endless.

Pumpkin Rolls:  Homemade Pumpkin Spice Rolls with cream cheese icing.
